Hi, I’m Pace.

I’m so glad you’re here. In my own journey, I have been intimately acquainted with grief, the pain of loss, and the challenging work of deconstruction and reconstruction of my own spirituality. Through spiritual direction I have been able to ask the hard questions, sit in silence, learn to listen for Jesus, and notice my own disordered attachments. My experience in spiritual direction has brought me into new places of freedom by knowing how deeply loved I am by Jesus and provided space for rest.

I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I worked as the Director of Development for Daystar Counseling Ministries for 13 years. I completed a three year Ignatian Spiritual Direction training program through Dovehouse Ministries in April of 2023. I have been leading individuals in spiritual direction since January of 2021. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee and love raising my family here. My husband and I have been married for 21 years and have four children and a dog. I love to hike, travel, read, laugh, cook and be with my family and friends.

When I Am Among the Trees

When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness,
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, "Stay awhile."
The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, "It's simple," they say,
"and you, too, have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine."
